Calling Tired Business Owners - 2025: how are you approaching it?

Spoiler alert: I'm approaching it softly and with care....

I've been thinking a lot about the new year. I'm growing my executive coaching business, and I'm aware that it's a great time to reflect. Everyone has a different approach to the year but I think this time of year crosses both the lead-in to Q4 and the year end, and also the "new beginning" brought about by the new calendar year, the move into longer days, and all the other social and environmental changes that happen around this time.

BUT

I hate societal expectations of "new beginnings". This time of year, we business owners are swamped with messages. Whilst I have got (and sometimes still do get) a lot of motivation from the concept of "smashing goals" and "power months", I am in a place at the moment where I need to bring compassion, calm, longevity and care into my forward planning. I'm trying to channel my cat, pictured above - she sets a great example for rest!

Being a business owner at this time of year feels a bit like being a person with a body and being targeted by gym and diet culture messages -

"You'll have eaten too much!"

"Time to get in shape!"

"Burn off the past!"

"Be your best ever self in 2025!"

I don't want that for myself or my clients.

I do want to grow, and reflect, and make amendments to my business and my work - I will always do that. But, without the pressure, and without the world looking in at me, assuming what changes I need to make without knowing anything about myself or my business.

(For what it's worth, as I'm writing this, I'm fighting with an inner voice which is screaming "you'll sound like you think you can just sit on the sofa and your business will run itself!"... shh, voice! People know what I mean!)

So, my offer to you, fellow tired business owner who wants to reflect on their business, find genuine and lasting inspiration for Q4 and/or 2025-26, and have a bit of fun while you're at it.

I present to you:

Gentle goal-smashing

Compassionate Q4

Kind year review, with you in mind

(I can't decide which the best title is - which do you prefer?!)

What we'll do:

Four two-hour sessions spaced over 1-2 months according to your business needs, with messaging support on demand between sessions.

Session 1: Your business and you

  • Tools to help you step back and review how you feel about your business

  • What’s working well?

  • How is your business  interacting with the rest of your life?

  • How satisfied are you with your income, your work schedule, your fulfilment?

  • What would your dream Q4 look like?

  • What would your dream 2025-26 look like?

Session 2: Review of the last period (this can be Qs 1-3, or 2024 as a whole, or just Q3 - whatever suits your business best)

  • Deep dive into the numbers, team/personnel situation, and other measurables about your business

  • And, the feelings - did the things that went well feel good?

  • What do we learn, and how does this relate to your dream Q4 / dream 2025-26 from last session?

Session 3: Planning

  • Putting the plan together for the next quarter and the next financial year.

  • What are you leaving behind?

  • What are you focusing on?

  • Getting together your aligned, achievable and next-level goals

Session 4: Troubleshooting and inspiration

  • We’ve got some fresh perspective and consolidated plans. But, you know your business and you know yourself. You’ll likely have thought about these things before.

  • What has held you back before?

  • What bumps in the road can you predict?

  • What has worked well before, and what can you learn from that to ensure these new plans suit you perfectly?

  • What can we put in place to ensure this is as tailored as possible to YOUR vision, and what YOU need?

As ever, coaching is all for you - if the agenda you need differs from the one above, then that's what we'll do.

    Cost of the programme: £2,000

Discounts available for first 4 spaces booked - reduced to £1500

Book in a discovery call here to see if we're a fit, or email me if you want to know anything else in writing.

Help me out - what should I be calling this?
